Random thoughts

Not necessarily in one group, but just all over the place...

1. Would you really want to play a guitar through the speakers and the stereo system of a Volkswagen? Nope, neither would I, regardless of the system that is in it. I doubt that the guitar would sound like that in a real car in real conditions. (Ed: Killjoy...)

2. O.J. tries to cash in by "hypothetically" telling the world how he would have killed Nicole Brown-Simpson and Ron Goldman. Wow... what's next? A Madonna concert on free television... (Ed: Yes, Wednesday on NBC...) Damn... Everyone knows that he did it. Hell, the civil trial proved that (well enough)... Life was good without him in the spotlight. Can't wait for that day to return...

3. OK, the election is over. OK, the Democrats control Congress. OK, Pres. Bush is now pledging to work with them when he isn't out of the country and theatening them to follow along with him or else... (Ed: He doesn't have a point, so why is this here?)

4. The TV show "House" is shit. Take any situation, make it life-threatening and then have a eclectic jackass with a limp solve it by being rude and obnoxious. And do it again... and again... and again... by pumping up the drama and the over-the-top situations. Yeah, just like every CSI and Law And Order (now "ripped from the headlines"). (Ed: I agree. House sucks...)

5. In sports, Indianapolis lost to Dallas, meaning the 1976 Miami Dolphins are still the only NFL team to go undefeated in a season. And those old cogers break out the sparkling wine to celebrate that every year to that fact. Wow, and I thought I didn't have a life...

6. In college football, The Game was one of the most-watched game in more than 13 years and it still didn't prove anything in the BCS ratings. What does it prove? We need a playoff system to determine which team/school is really the best in the nation (Div. I-A, that is.). To have two polls run by college coaches and observers and five computers determine who will play in the game is beyond reason. Too many ways to screw it up and too many ways to keep the real teams from getting a chance to play.

7. In pro football, not counting No. 5 (Ed: No kidding), Seattle looked like shit against a revitalized and motivated San Francisco team, while Philadelphia lost Donovan McNabb to a season-ending knee injury. Also, LaDanian Tomlinson helped my fantasy football team to another victory (now 10-1) with four touchdowns. He now has 101 TDs in his career, the fastest to that mark since Jim Brown and Emmitt Smith. Thank you, LT.

8. It is getting late. Thanks for reading. (Ed: No really. Thanks. And if you leave a porn ad for a comment, we're going to hunt you down and shoot you.)
